Albany Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to employ a talented and enthusiastic English Teacher who has expertise in building foundation literacy skills to join their innovative and collaborative team.

The successful applicant will be a passionate teacher of English with a demonstrated expertise and commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. English teachers with a specialist background in the delivery of literacy interventions to cater for a diverse range of abilities are encouraged to apply.  The ability to deliver English courses to Year 12 level will be highly regarded. Applicants will ideally demonstrate the professional knowledge, practices and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant secondary school English curriculum and have proven success building relationships with students across a range of ability levels.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position. 

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):

  • Professional knowledge;
  • Professional practice; and
  • Professional engagement.

TRAINING
