Busselton Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool of dedicated and experienced English Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.
As a suitable applicant, you will be highly motivated; student and relationship focused and able to provide engaging, relevant and meaningful learning experiences. You will utilise innovative strategies and be able to work effectively within a dynamic team. This will involve you reflecting and assessing the effectiveness of your teaching practice and cultivating a safe learning environment. You will utilise evidence based teaching practices whilst employing a range of assessment and reporting methods.
As part of this role you will engage and build productive working relationships with students and be involved collaboratively with the English Department to improve student results. Ideally applicants will have some knowledge of whole school literacy programs and some knowledge of professional learning communities and intervention programs. With effective interpersonal skills, you will work closely with students, teachers and the community to instil our school values of Respect, Empathy, Achievement and Learning, allowing students to achieve to their full potential.
