We are seeking to establish a pool of suitably qualified Mathematics teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.
We are looking for passionate teachers who have high expectations, demonstrate a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment. Suitable applicants will be flexible and adaptive teachers, able to apply Explicit Instruction and use evidence based High Impact Instructional Strategies. We have had a recent focus on “Back to Front Math” and teachers with experience in these strategies may wish to apply. We welcome applications from experienced Mathematics teachers as well as graduate teachers.
As a Mathematics teacher in our school you will work in our supportive and collegiate Mathematics Learning Team. The expectation is that you will teach Mathematics from Years 7-12. Applicants will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills which will be used to develop and promote the school’s values, vision and priorities across the school community. You will build positive relationships with your students and be passionate about creating positive pathways for students, ensuring we share our stories, the Safety Bay Way.
