This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, part-time (0.7FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2021
Rockingham Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to appoint a passionate and innovative teacher who is responsive to change and can cater for the learning styles of future-ready students. You will have a proven ability to facilitate the development of independent and confident learners, have evidence of leadership skills in undertaking performance presentations as well as other school initiatives and be willing to join our team of like-minded professionals.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with all members of the school and wider community to provide quality educational experiences through promoting the school’s vision and strategic directions. Specifically, you will be student and relationship focussed, be able to provide engaging and meaningful learning.
The successful applicant will possess excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to provide students with the highest quality curriculum delivery and programs within the Dance context. You will have thorough understandings of instructional and curriculum design whilst keeping abreast of the latest focus areas and developments within the Learning Area.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy

- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
