Appointment Pool
Burrendah Primary School (PS) are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.
We are seeking individuals who possess outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to build highly effective working relationships with students, staff and parents particularly from other cultures. You will be able to work autonomously, as well as in a highly collaborative team environment. Suitable applicants will be contemporary educators who can plan for continuous classroom and whole school improvement, using data to inform planning. Previous experience in leadership roles and responsibilities beyond the classroom will be highly regarded.
Suitable applicants will ideally possess highly developed skills with digital technologies and be able to incorporate this into their teaching duties. It is highly desirable suitable applicants possess the ability to differentiate the Western Australian curriculum, particularly for gifted and talent students. Previous experience teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorder will be highly regarded.
Burrendah PS is a large Independent Public School located in the suburb of Willetton, in the southern metropolitan area of Perth. We are a growing school with an excellent reputation in the local community of Burrendah. Our staff have a team approach, and achieve high academic standards and provide a holistic education with the focus on the whole child.
Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.

- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy

- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
