Albany Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to employ a talented and enthusiastic Health and Physical Education Teacher to join their innovative and collaborative team.

Albany SHS strives to create a vibrant culture of excellence, innovation, opportunity and success for students, staff and the community. The successful applicant will have experience and qualifications to deliver  Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) courses in Health and Physical Education. The ability to teach all years and aspects of the Health and Physical Education Western Australian Curriculum will be highly advantageous. In working collaboratively in the Health and Physical Education team, the successful applicant will be innovative, passionate, flexible and able to use Information Communication Technology (ICT) to inform their professional practice.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position. 

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):

  • Professional knowledge;
  • Professional practice; and
  • Professional engagement.
