Charthouse Primary School (PS) are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.

Suitable applicants will be highly motivated and committed to raising students’ academic achievement and building their social and emotional development through the effective use of ongoing plan-teach-assess cycles. You will use assessment data to continuously evaluate the effectiveness of teaching programs, set targets and plan for differentiated learning opportunities for all the students in their class. Whole school approaches include: Advancement via Individual Determination (AVID); Talk for Writing (Kindergarten to 4); Seven Steps to Writing (Years 4 to 6); Sounds Write (Pre-primary to Year 3); Brightpath; Letters & Sounds (Kindergarten); Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) inquiry that incorporates purposeful play, and First Steps strategies. Applicants with knowledge of, and/or experience in, implementing these whole school approaches, are encouraged to apply.
Suitable applicants will also exhibit a proactive and positive approach to student engagement and behaviour, comprising individualised planning and the consistent application of low key classroom management strategies, aligned to Positive Behaviour Strategies (PBS). You will be expected to work in an environment committed to self-reflection and continuous self-improvement. You will need to be an active member of a supportive team, maximising the learning opportunities for students. You will also be committed to collaborating with your colleagues, including during Duties Other Than Teaching (DOTT), to moderate judgements and support whole school priorities. Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.

- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.
