This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, part-time (0.4FTE) position commencing Term 4, 2020.
Aubin Grove Primary School (PS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher – Primary – Pedagogical Leader to join our school. Level 3 Classroom Teachers are encouraged to apply!
There is a possibility of this role taking on additional classroom teaching up to a full time FTE.

This role is a unique opportunity which incorporates leading whole school approaches using an innovative coaching and mentoring approach. This role will work closely with classroom teachers and teams with a focus ondeveloping capacity in our agreed whole school pedagogical practices and approaches. Some key areas they will focus on will be:
- Visible Learning
- Kagan, cooperative and instructional learning
- Information technology and future focused learning
- Positive Psychology
It is not essential to have knowledge of all of these key areas; however, the successful applicant will desirably possess a willingness to learn, and apply their knowledge to lead best practice in order to continue to build a culture of excellence in teaching and learning.
Using a coaching and mentoring approach that includes coaching conversations, support and modelling, the successful applicant will require a level of strategic and academic understanding, particularly in change management processes in order to support the implementation and consistent practice of whole-school approaches.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
