Appointment Pool
We are seeking to establish a pool of dedicated and committed Primary Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.

As we are a Teacher Development School (DigiTech), applicants will desirably have a sound knowledge and understanding of the Digital Technologies Curriculum, as well as highly developed skills in the integration of the Digital Technologies into their classroom teaching and learning programmes.
If appointed to this role, it is highly desirable, you will:
- Commit to using and implementing a dynamic and engaging programme in the classroom in line with the Western Australian Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA);
- Work collaboratively with other teachers implementing whole school approaches, demonstrate a strong commitment to professional learning, work in a team environment and accept leadership roles and responsibilities beyond their own classroom and the school;
- Implement John Hattie’s Visible Learning Approach;
- Utilise First Steps Literacy and Numeracy, Letters and Sounds and Words Their Way programmes, Brightpath, Seven Steps to Writing, and Talk 4 Writing;
- Follow the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approach to behaviour management and engage students using Kagan Co-operative Structures (co-operative learning);
- Use SEN planning to differentiate individual student learning needs to help provide an inclusive learning environment;
- Use school and system assessment data to inform teaching and learning programmes;
- Implement health and well-being strategies for their students;
- Incorporate social and emotional learning (Zones of Regulation, Friendly Schools Plus and SDERA programme); and,
- Be involved in school programmes incorporating sustainable practices.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
