Appointment Pool

Margaret River Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.
To be suitable in this role, you will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of integrated Inquiry based learning. As a teacher at our school, you will contribute to a positive team culture and be committed to genuine collaboration in planning for, teaching and assessing student learning. You will have excellent communication, collaboration skills and the ability to work within a team environment. We are seeking applicants who have an understanding of the bigger picture of learning and the skills and attributes that students will need to succeed in the future. Suitable applicants will demonstrate that they can align the demands of the Western Australian Curriculum with the specific context of the Margaret River Community.
Margaret River Primary School is a large primary school with nearly 800 enrolled students. There is strong community support for the school, where parents and the local community actively assist in school activities. The school motto is Innovate – Engage-Inspire and students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of specialist areas in and out of school to complement the core learning curriculum. The school offers unique programs in Music, Art, Indonesian, Science, Media and a Physical Education program that includes a variety of off-site adventure sports. Our school is openly engaged with and committed to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
The teaching staff bring considerable experience and stability to the school and the programs offered. ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
