Appointment Pool
Perth Modern School are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Physical and Health Education Teachers to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.
The suitable applicants will be a dynamic and dedicated Physical and Health Education specialist with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning in the gifted and talented environment. We are seeking a teacher who is highly reflective about their teaching practice. The role requires knowledge of the Western Australian (WA) Curriculum to the Year 12 ATAR level and preferably, demonstrated experience in utilising high impact, innovative teaching strategies within the classroom. The school has a strong Health Education program focussing on developing the wellbeing of students.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a willingness to liaise with colleagues, parents and external networks to establish strong community partnerships, are also required. As the successful applicant, you will be relationship focused and seek opportunities for innovation in teaching.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
