Appointment Pool

Hillman Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.
Suitable applicants must be highly skilled and motivated educators with a passion for teaching, have an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum, EYLF and demonstrate best practice in literacy and numeracy.
The suitable applicants will demonstrate a profound understanding of contemporary behaviour and engagement strategies with an emphasis on building strong relationships with students, staff and the community.
Experience with the integration of digital technologies into the learning program and formative evaluation techniques will be highly valued, as will demonstrated expertise in curriculum differentiation. Teachers with knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support would be considered desirable.
Suitable applicants will implement effective, innovative and engaging learning programs, and will work collaboratively with staff to apply whole school approaches for curriculum delivery including consistent approaches in Literacy and Numeracy across the school.
Hillman PS is a level 5 school located in Rockingham, south of Perth with a population of 300 students.
Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
