This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 3, 2020.
Armadale Senior High School (SHS) is seeking highly a dedicated English teacher to join their team.
We are seeking applicants who are qualified and passionate educators, willing to make a positive difference.
The successful applicant will form positive relationships with colleagues, students, families and external stakeholders. With proficient application of the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) standards, the successful applicant will engage in innovative classroom practise and partake in regular classroom observations. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The successful applicant will provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve to their highest potential. Creating and promoting an environment conducive to active learning and which caters for different student learning needs will also be a strength. In addition, the ability to engage students using a range of skills, knowledge of Classroom Management Strategies and Positive Behaviour Support, will be considered favourably.
Armadale SHS is an Independent Public School dedicated to providing students from Year 7 to Year 12 with strong academic achievement and positive engagement. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.
