This is a permanent part-time (0.8FTE) position commencing Term 4, 2020.
Gooseberry Hill Primary School (PS) is seeking a qualified Art Teacher to join our committed team of highly professional and dedicated staff, who ensure that students' needs are met in a caring and safe environment. To be successful in this role, you will be a passionate educator, dedicated to making a difference in the lives of young people.
As an Art teacher at Gooseberry Hill PS you will build on the existing creative and relevant Art program across Pre-Primary to Year 6. With a positive and enthusiastic approach, you will engage students to learn and develop within the Art Learning Area. With excellent interpersonal skills you must be willing to collaborate with school staff and members of the wider community. This is a prerequisite of this position. Experience with presenting Art, especially the mounting of and displaying would be an advantage.
You would also be dedicated to participating in the school’s extra-curricular activities, including the school performances and productions, which may operate outside of normal school hours. Art is valued by the school community and proficiency in this specialist position is an essential requirement. An understanding of preparing students for the GATE Art program at Kalamunda Senior High School would also be an advantage.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
