This is a permanent part-time (0.8FTE) position commencing Term 3, 2020
Narrogin Primary School (PS) is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Health and Physical Education Teacher to join the school. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated ability in building strong relationships with students in order to motivate and engage them. They should also possess strong interpersonal skills and an ability to differentiate the curriculum with students from Pre-primary to Year 6.
A sound understanding of the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework and an excellent knowledge of the Health and Physical Education Curriculum are prerequisites for this positon. The successful applicant will need to work collaboratively with staff and the school community; including parents, School Board, P&C and community sporting groups, in order to support the implementation of the Business Plan and facilitate school and interschool sporting opportunities for students.
Narrogin Primary School has had a proud history of serving the Narrogin community since being established in 1905. The town of Narrogin is situated approximately 200 kilometres southeast of Perth. Student intake is drawn from the town of Narrogin and surrounding areas, including farming communities. Approximately 285 students, from Kindergarten to Year 6, attend the school.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
