Deanmore Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of effective, committed and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teachers (Kindergarten to Year 3) and Primary Teachers (Year 1 to 6) for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise between Term 4, 2020 and Term 3, 2021. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements from the beginning of Term 4, 2020 up to the end of Term 3, 2021.
Deanmore PS is passionate about children achieving their potential academically, socially and in the arts and sport. We have a shared understanding of what good practice looks like, and offer a consistent approach to teaching and learning for all of our students. We have a strong relationship with our community, and they have high expectations of teaching and learning for their kids.
Our school is a modern build, is well resourced and has a range of specialist programs. We are located in Karrinyup and enrols students from the surrounding areas of Karrinyup, Trigg and Scarborough.
We are seeking professional, enthusiastic teachers who will work collaboratively with school leaders, teachers, support staff and the community. Suitable applicants will ideally have expertise and experience in explicit teaching, intentional play and differentiated curriculum. It would be highly desirable for applicants to be able to implement whole school approaches in teaching and learning and bring innovation to collaborative planning and lesson design.
Suitable applicants will embrace classroom observations, feedback, modelling, and coaching. They will also bring the capacity and passion to work collaboratively as a member of our school teams with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
Ideally, suitable applicants will also have an understanding of Aboriginal culture and demonstrate the capacity to be culturally responsive in the classroom and school community.

Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
