About the Role
One of the principle objectives of Main Roads Western Australia is to manage traffic operations on the state road network to provide safe, efficient and reliable journeys. The ITS Operations Branch is Main Roads’ Centre of Expertise for the research, design, development, implementation and operation of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS).
The core function of the branch is to develop, implement and maintain a rolling strategy for ITS solutions and services, to prioritise ITS roadmap changes to the operations of the network in the metropolitan area. In addition, the branch undertakes, research, designs, develops and implements ITS best practice across Main Roads and provides operational support for newly deployed ITS solutions.
In this role you will be tasked with coordinating and/or performing specialist development, design, end-to-end system testing and integration of ITS applications and ITS road side assets sate-wide.
About You
It is essential that you can demonstrate considerable experience in the delivery of ITS solutions and projects including the planning, documenting, coordinating and performing testing and integration activities for ITS roadside technology as part of a project.
The successful person will need to demonstrate considerable skill, knowledge and experience in technical trouble shooting of complex end-to end ITS/SCADA assets and systems.
Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including asset management and maintenance stakeholders is critical to ensure optimal operational performance and outcomes. You will need to demonstrate the ability to manage resourcing including staff behaviour, performance and development.
