This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time appointments for 6-12 months with the possibility of extension(s).

Position Profile: The Surgery Fellow covers the Acute Surgical Unit (ASU) at Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) and within South Metropolitan Health Service and is responsible for admitting & managing patients for General Surgery in normal hours and approx. 1 in 6 (on-call) out of hours. As well as supervising SET and Service Registrars, Resident Medical Officers and Interns under the direction of General Surgery Consultants and the rotating Surgeon of the day on the ASU.

Area Profile: Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
