Position Profile: We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and enthusiastic person to the position of Medical Scientist in Charge. In this role you will manage, supervise and coordinate daily operations of the PathWest Clinical Trials Unit including physical, financial and human resources. You will apply advanced analysis of both routine and complex procedures to examine suitability of clinical trials processes and specimens to be undertaken by PathWest; manage and coordinate the development of clinical trial processes, provide advice to internal and external clients including researchers, principal investigators and hospital based clinical trial coordinators; develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including clinical trial sponsors, research organisations and clinical trial groups; and also report on clinical trials and external research, including preparation of financial and workload reports.

Both of these options remain valid for a period of six (6) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
