About the role
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Mental Health / Alcohol and Other Drugs (MH/AOD) team within the health centre at Wooroloo Prison Farm, for an experienced Senior Registered Nurse MH/AOD.
This position works as part of the MH/AOD Team reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) providing services to patients in prison with Mental Health and AOD diagnoses.
The role provides clinical leadership; comprehensive assessment skills; planning, implementing and evaluation of care delivery; coordination of case management; discharge planning and liaison with community services.
The role participates in the prison multidisciplinary risk assessment and management team processes and meetings.
