This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 2, 2020.
An exciting opportunity is available for a suitably qualified and experienced teacher who is passionate about working with senior college students. Sevenoaks Senior College (SC) is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Career & Enterprise Teacher to join their friendly and professional team.
The suitable applicant will require a significant knowledge of Year 11 and 12 Career & Enterprise courses (Foundation, General & ATAR) and have the capacity to lead and develop the area. We are a very dynamic and diverse educational community, with students and their teachers - together with their parents, community members and industry partners - all work collaboratively within a team environment. The college offers a suite of programs: involving a comprehensive range of WACE courses, VET qualifications at our Trade Training Centre and a BIG PICTURE engagement Academy Sevenoaks SC offers a suite of programs involving a comprehensive range of ATAR courses, Vocational Education Training and Trade Training Centre certificates and International Centre. Sevenoaks also has a comprehensive Follow the Dream program for our Aboriginal students.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;

- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
