Balcatta Senior High School (SHS) is seeking a suitably qualified and dedicated English and Humanities and Social Sciences teacher, who can deliver engaging programs to all students. The successful applicant will be an innovative and inspirational educator, with substantial experience in lower and senior school English courses and lower school HASS courses being highly desirable.
The successful applicant will support the implementation of the School Business Plan, work and teach in a team environment, be committed to whole school approaches and initiatives and have a strong evidenced based approach.
The successful applicant will be committed to maximising the engagement and progress of all students. Applicants should be committed to working effectively within the English and Humanities Learning Area and as part of the wider school community professional learning community.
It is highly desirable that the successful applicant has experience using technology as a teaching tool and can effectively use data to plan to improve student outcomes.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.
