This is a permanent part-time (0.25FTE) position commencing March 2020.

Heathridge Primary School (PS) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Cleaner to join their school staff.

The successful applicant will carry out internal cleaning duties, including the maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting and rubbish removal. You will perform external cleaning duties, including the cleaning of verandahs and covered areas, rubbish removal, cleaning of drinking troughs, window cleaning and the removal of cobwebs.

Additionally, you will complete vacation cleaning duties, including the stripping and sealing of vinyl floors, window cleaning, shampooing of carpets, pressure cleaning of verandas and undercover areas, and other such duties as required by the Cleaner-In-Charge. The successful applicant will be punctual, friendly and able to take directions. Experience cleaning in a Government School is highly desirable.

Heathridge PS is located approximately twenty-five kilometres north of the city of Perth. The school community enjoys city views, well maintained gardens, excellent resources and great service facilities.

Heathridge PS is a caring school where current enrolments are 182 from Kindergarten to Year 6. Playful Learners is a before school, after school, vacation care and 3 year-old facility that shares this site. There is a dedicated and professional teaching and non-teaching staff who are committed to meeting the needs of students and the school community.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

  • Complete the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment

The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process
