Position Profile
We currently have one (1) permanent full-time appointment available for immediate filling.
This process may be used to fill other similar vacancies throughout the department. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, the panel may select another suitable applicant from this selection process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of six (6) months from approval of the initial recruitment decision.
The successful applicant manages the vitally important area of intellectual property management, including commercialisation opportunities and systems to manage research quality and data integrity. The position enhances and maintains the Department’s capacity to attract external funds by ensuring quality governance and reporting of externally funded, contracts and resource allocation. The successful applicant will optimise research outcomes through the effective development and management of research data capture and management systems. The position is responsible for providing policy advice, instruction and expert service provision in each of the above areas.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Managing Director and Directors of Grains, Livestock, Horticulture and Aquaculture R&D together with teams of scientists that undertake projects to drive innovation to grow and protect the dynamic, export orientated agri-food and fibre industries of Western Australia.

Eligibility / Other Conditions
Subject to appointment the successful applicant will be required obtain a current and valid Western Australian C (car) class driver’s licence, or equivalent.
This position is located in South Perth.
