About the Role
Under direction of the CEO and State Librarian, this project position will contribute to the review, development, implementation and monitoring of policies, systems and frameworks to promote and sustain integrity within the State Library and to prevent misconduct.
This position will be responsible for developing and delivering programs to build ethical capacity to ensure that staff are operating within public sector values, code of ethics and legislative and policy parameters.
Conditions
This is a full-time, fixed-term contract for a period of 12 months, with possible extension to support a project with a finite life. Part-time arrangements may be considered.
The State Library requires applicants to undertake criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. A current National Police Clearance Certificate (no older than 6 months) will be required prior to commencement of employment.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants for this position may be considered for ‘similar’ vacancies within the Department and/or the wider public sector which arise within a reasonable period. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process.
Location
The State Library is in the Perth Cultural Centre hub close to Yagan Square and the bustling café, tourist and shopping districts.
