Derby District High School (DHS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher – Primary – Digital Technologies to join their school.
The successful applicant will be required to set up a Digital Technologies program for students in Years 1-6. They will be required to design, create, manage and evaluate sustainable and innovative digital solutions to meet and redefine current and future needs and; understanding, collecting, managing and analysing data. Other components include delivering the general capabilities of Information Communication Technology (ICT) such as managing, creating, communicating, investigating and operating ICT. In this role you will also create and deliver exciting and challenging extension opportunities to selected students.
To be successful for this role, you will have strong teaching and classroom management skills, have the ability to develop good relationships with students and engage them in highly effective learning. The ability to create a learning environment that is differentiated, challenging, caring, creative and that caters for a range of needs and abilities is also highly desirable.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
