Project Officer - Offsite Activation

Conditions
This is a fulltime, permanent vacancy. There will also be a Pool running for a period of 18 months from the initial appointment. Applicants deemed suitable will be placed into a pool where appointments may be considered for similar vacancies for full-time, part-time, casual, fixed term or permanency.
A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate and/or a Working With Children Clearance will be required prior to commencement of employment, as per the Department’s Police Record Screening Policy.
Location
The position is currently located in the historic Shipwreck Museum, Fremantle, close to the bustling café strip and toursit sights. In late 2020, the position may be required to relocate to the Maritime Museum on Victoria Quay, the Welshpool Collections Centre, or within the Perth Cultural Centre as part of the New Museum accommodation requirements.
Job Description
The Project Officer Offsite Activations primary role is to enhance the Museum’s profile though the coordination and implementation of the Museum’s Offsite Activation Program. This includes the coordination of high quality programs, experiences and resources that are relevant to the collections and content of the Western Australian Museum.
The role will be responsible to implement all offsite activities including coordination of the yearly program, site operations on the day, public program development, content development, partnership coordination and volunteer and staff management (during the event), to ensure that the event is successful and meets the desired outcomes of the Museum.
