Pingelly Primary School (PS) is seeking to appoint an innovative and engaging Teacher – Early Childhood to join their friendly team.

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will work collaboratively with other early childhood educators to design and implement a learning program based on Walker Learning pedagogy. The successful applicant will desirably possess a knowledge of the Walker Learning approach and general play-based learning in order to maximise learning outcomes for students. The successful applicant will also desirably have experience using Letters and Sounds and Talk 4 Writing in an early childhood context. 

Teaching staff at Pingelly PS are committed to their ongoing development through professional learning, collaboration and peer observation and feedback. The successful applicant will be required to work effectively as part of a team contributing strongly to the collaborative, staff environment at Pingelly PS.

Pingelly PS is located approximately 160 kilometres south east of Perth. The school is characterised by attractive gardens, extensive grounds and excellent facilities. Social and emotional wellbeing is a key priority with our STRIVE values crucial to creating the conditions for children to feel safe, valued and a vital part of the learning process. Our staff are committed to delivering an inclusive and balanced curriculum which addresses the diverse needs of our students.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position. 

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):

  • Professional knowledge;
  • Professional practice; and
  • Professional engagement.
