Canning Vale College (CVC) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher - English to join the friendly team.
The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills in order to develop effective relationships with students, staff and parents. The successful applicant will work as part of a dedicated team to develop, review and deliver English curriculum. The successful applicant will have experience in teaching ATAR English and EAL/D as well as lower school English and EAL/D. It is also desirable that they have experience in, or the capacity to teach ATAR Literature. The successful applicant will be a passionate educator, have a contemporary teaching pedagogy and be committed to making a difference in the lives of students no matter their abilities.

CVC opened in 2004 and currently has approximately 1600 students. The school facilities are modern, well-resourced and incorporate the use of latest technologies to promote learning. Students are supported both in the class and in the wider community to develop independence, life and employability skills as they transition through school and beyond.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
