Donnybrook District High School (DHS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher - Early Childhood, who has the capacity to work in Kindergarten to Year 3.
The successful applicant will be required to work collaboratively within a team environment, contributing to and engaging in connected practice and whole school approaches. The successful applicant will desirably possess an understanding of explicit teaching and structured lesson design which effectively scaffolds learning to build students’ knowledge and skills. They are also required to use data to inform their teaching and learning, with a concerted focus around student progress.
A commitment to ongoing professional learning and development including observation and feedback is important. The ability to work effectively in teams is highly advantageous, with a strong contribution to a Professional Learning Community a key aspect of our school improvement agenda.
Donnybrook DHS a combined school (Kindergarten - Year 10) situated on two sites that lie 1.5 kilometres apart. Donnybrook DHS services the communities of Donnybrook, Kirup and Balingup. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.
