Safety Bay Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2020 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2020 school year.
We are seeking talented, collaborative and flexible Physical Education Teachers, highly proficient in engaging and motivating students, whilst supporting the School’s priorities and business plan, with qualifications and/or experience in general physical education, health, soccer, outdoor education and who strive to learn more about quality teaching.
Safety Bay SHS has endorsed Specialist Soccer and Specialist Cheer/Dance programs, with extremely high standards and expectations placed on students enrolled in these programs. In addition, extensive programs in Outdoor Recreation, Health and Physical Education are also conducted. It is highly desirable for you to be available to train and coach teams and support the school’s Bush Ranger Cadets program, outside normal school hours and contribute to a positive school culture.
With an interest in working with young people, the suitable applicant will have a positive attitude and willingness to work with like-minded people. You will foster a love of learning in your students whilst engaging in ongoing professional learning opportunities.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
