About the Role
The Materials Engineering Branch (MEB) develops and maintains the road and bridge material engineering test methods, specifications, guidelines and calibration procedures that are used by Main Roads staff, consultants and contractors to design, construct and maintain the Western Australian road network
The branch are currently seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Materials Services Manager, who will manage and conduct complex testing on road and bridge construction materials and conduct calibrations of specialised road testing and construction equipment.
About You
As the successful incumbent, you will have proven experience in the supervision of staff to manage and oversee effective delivery of a wide range of testing and calibration services. You will have considerable experience with a wide range of construction materials and experience in the operation of a NATA accredited laboratory and inspection facility.

- Construction materials testing of bitumen, asphalt, concrete and soils
- Operation of NATA accredited laboratories and inspection facilities
- Supervision of individuals or a team
- Calibration of specialised road testing and construction equipment including falling weight deflectometers, nuclear density meters and bitumen spray trucks
- Evidence of your current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
