This is a pool recruitment process (Ref 00326). This pool will run for a period of 12 months and may be used to fill ongoing fixed term contracts, secondments, acting/relieving and permanent opportunities (full and part time).
There is currently one (1) permanent full-time vacancy.
This role contributes to the effective and efficient operation of the Infringement Management and Operations (IMO) Customer Service Call Centre by providing quality and timely services to customers on a range of matters relating to infringements.
Please ensure you complete, sign and scan the Integrity Check Consent Form (refer attached) and submit it along with your application (the integrity check consent form is not required for current WA Police Force employees).
Applicants are asked to address the following nominated work related requirements in no more than three (3) pages:
Communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Providing a responsive and effective customer service and providing timely information to a range of individuals including internal and external stakeholders. Possessing effective verbal fact finding skills. Understanding customer needs and remaining professional whilst attending to difficult situations. Dealing with sensitive, and at times, emotive or agitated customers
Organisational and problem solving skills
- Assessing issues over the telephone in a timely manner. Making judgements. Prioritising workloads. Using initiative and judging when to escalate matters to the Team Leader
Ability to work in a team environment
- Contributing effectively to the operations of the team. Working with other personnel and supporting their needs
Applicants are also required to submit a Comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV). Your CV should provide enough detail (dot points are sufficient) to allow the selection panel to assess your skills and experience relevant to the Key Accountabilities of the attached Position Description Form.
The CV must also include the names and contact details of two (2) referees who can comment on the applicant’s ability to satisfy all of the Essential Work Related Requirements. Applicants should nominate at least one immediate (most contemporary) supervisor/manager unless exceptional circumstances exist.
Please note: For applicants deemed suitable, all Essential Work Related Requirements listed in the Position Description Form will be assessed at some stage during the selection process.
In addition to the one (1) current vacancy, this POOL is being created to fill future vacancies that may arise within the portfolio. This POOL will remain active for a period of twelve (12) months from the initial appointment. Applicants who are assessed as ‘suitable’ at the completion of this process, will be placed in the POOL and may be considered for future permanent and temporary vacancies as they become available.
Once an applicant within the POOL accepts a permanent vacancy offer within the portfolio, that applicant will be removed from the POOL. Applicants who accept a temporary vacancy will remain in the POOL.
Integrity and criminal checks will be conducted if the recommended applicant for this position is not a current WA Police Force employee. Any relocation costs associated with appointment to this position may be the responsibility of the successful applicant.
