John Curtin College of the Arts is seeking to establish a pool of Music Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2020 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2020 school year.
The college is looking for highly competent, passionate and dynamic Music teachers who have proven success working with very able students from Years 7 to 12. Demonstrated understanding and/or experience teaching gifted and talented students is recommended. Applicants will need to demonstrate an ability to teach WACE Contemporary and Western Arts music courses. VET teaching experience and Certificate 4 in Training and Assessing with the latest units is highly desirable. Conducting experience, choral or instrumental is advantageous. Successful applicants will participate in a team approach to after-hours extension and enrichment activities.
The successful applicants will support the implementation of the college business plan, work and teach in a team environment, be committed to whole college approaches and initiatives, and have a strong evidence based approach to teaching.
