Instrumental Music School Services is seeking to establish a pool of Music Teachers – Upper Strings for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2020 school year, in the metropolitan area. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2020 school year.
This is a specialised role. Skill in teaching string instruments is essential.
Candidates must embrace the opportunity to work within a variety of school environments. The successful applicants will be required to teach in small groups, a range of students from years 3 – 12 in a variety of schools within the metropolitan area. As a String teacher, you will be expected to conduct ensembles in some schools. Suitable applicants should be able to work independently, demonstrate energy and passion for the subject and to be highly skilled at performance on string instruments.
There is a particularly close collegial relationship amongst staff that allows for significant professional growth as a teacher and musician. Suitable applicants will be proficient in teaching and performance of Violin and Viola as well as conducting orchestra. The ability to teach other string instruments is also highly regarded.

Instrumental Music School Services delivers instrumental music teaching to public schools throughout the state of WA.
