Narrogin Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and innovative Education Support Teacher who is passionate about building the capacity of students with special needs to achieve the best possible academic, social and educational outcomes.
The successful applicant should have a genuine care and consideration for students, demonstrate highly effective teaching practices and a willingness to seek constant improvement in their own practice. In addition, you will have the ability to promote an environment of active and positive learning, and provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students with special needs to achieve their very best. You will actively promote inclusive teaching practices and further the inclusion of students with special needs across the school. You will be self-motivated, prepared to enthusiastically embrace new opportunities and work proactively towards achieving successful outcomes for students.
An excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum, and a capacity to deliver content in an engaging manner to instil in our students a passion for literacy, numeracy and the subject area are also desirable qualities of suitable applicants. An understanding of ASDAN curriculum will be desirable however, not essential. You will be highly collaborative in working with colleagues and committed to your own ongoing professional growth and development.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

Employees will be required to:
