West Greenwood Primary School (PS) is seeking a dedicated teacher to join our team. The successful applicant would work in a job share position in a Middle and/or Upper Primary class. There is potential for the position to increase in FTE, in a fixed term capacity.
The successful applicant should have a strong work ethic and a deep knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum Outline. The successful applicant should have a total commitment to the role, and a willingness to show leadership and initiative. They should be proactive in participating in whole school, and phase planning and curriculum development.
Applicants should demonstrate an exceptionally high level of collaborative practice together with interpersonal skills to enable effective participation and engagement within a digitally oriented school. The successful applicant will ideally be able to commit to the school’s beliefs and embrace the Independent Public School philosophy, as well as exhibit exemplary professional skills and personal presentation.
West Greenwood PS, located in the northern suburb of Greenwood, is approximately seventeen kilometres from the central city of Perth. West Greenwood PS is a vibrant and energetic school that is entering its second Business Plan cycle in 2018-2020. The school has modern facilities, a very supportive school community and a hardworking and dedicated staff.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.
