North Albany Senior High School (SHS) is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and innovative teacher who can maximise the engagement and progress of all students in Mathematics.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate professional knowledge and understanding of the West Australian Mathematics curriculum and will be required to teach from Year 7 to Year 12, including ATAR maths courses. The ability to teach Mathematics Specialist is highly desirable. You will be student focused, highly motivated, self-reflective and be able to work autonomously as well as in a highly collaborative team environment. You will be able to demonstrate engaging and energetic teaching strategies, including curriculum differentiation.
North Albany SHS is an Independent Public School for students from Year 7 to Year 12. The focus of our school is to provide a wraparound academic, cultural and social education based on our school ethos of ‘Students are First and Foremost”. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.
