Australind Senior High School (SHS) is seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher to lead our Literacy team.
The successful applicant will be a member of the team charged with the responsibility of coordinating and teaching Literacy intervention programs across year levels (7-10). You will be expected to contribute to a culture of high engagement and rigour with a strong focus on pastoral care. Experience with the diagnostic tracking of student progress and the delivery of evidence based programs is highly desirable.
It is expected that the suitable candidate is able to work in a collaborative manner providing guidance and support to colleagues to improve literacy practice within a mainstream context. Teachers with Primary School qualifications are encouraged to apply.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
