Lesmurdie Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to appoint a passionate and innovative English teacher who is responsive to change and can cater for the learning styles of future ready students. This position will be for 2020, with a possibility of extension.
The successful applicant will possess excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to provide students with the highest quality curriculum delivery and programs within the English Learning Area. To be successful in this role, you will possess thorough understandings of curriculum design whilst keeping abreast of the latest developments within the Learning Area. You will be reflective in assessing the effectiveness of your teaching practice and be able to cultivate a safe and accountable learning environment, underpinning our vision of thriving in a nurturing environment. In addition, you will have a proven ability to facilitate the development of independent and confident learners and be willing to join our team of like-minded professionals. An understanding and demonstrated application of CMS and IS strategies would be beneficial.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.
