This is a permanent part-time (0.2FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2020
Honeywood Primary School (PS) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join their team. This role is ideally suited to someone who can grow with us and can increase their work fraction in 2021.
The successful applicant will need to possess outstanding interpersonal skills and have an ability to build effective working relationships with students, staff, parents and the school community. You will need to have a whole child philosophy, a growth mindset and love working with children.
We are recruiting for empathy not ego.
Our school opened in 2018 and caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. It has been skilfully designed with large open spaces and facilities to bring out the best in every child. Four teaching and learning blocks including one specifically designed for early childhood, a science room, music room, a covered assembly area with a fully equipped canteen, a library, a huge oval and basketball/tennis courts - all there for children to learn and play and discover their own unique talents.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.
