Appointment Pool
We are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2020 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2020 school year.
Suitable applicants will have highly developed professional and practical knowledge in Design and Technology with skills in Engineering, Woodwork, Metalwork and CAD (Computer Aided Drafting). Applicants need to be innovative, forward thinking, collaborators and contributors with have a growth mindset who are able to work in and a strong team work focussed environment.
Strong teaching, organisational skills and classroom management skills, and be able to develop good relationships with students and engage them in highly effective learning is essential. Suitable applicants will engage in relevant professional learning and demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, working as a member of a vibrant and enthusiastic school team.
Halls Head College is uniquely situated on the 'island' of Halls Head just south of Mandurah. The local intake area of Halls Head College is south, close to the Waroona Shire boundary. The contributory primary schools are Glencoe, Halls Head, Falcon, South Halls Head and Ocean Road. The college provides a secondary education for students who live in the rapidly growing coastal strip, south of Mandurah.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
