Pingrup Primary School (PS) is looking to appoint a creative, diligent and enthusiastic Teacher – Early Childhood Education.
The successful applicant will be highly motivated and dedicated to raising literacy and numeracy achievement, as well as fostering social and emotional skills, through the effective use of whole-school approaches, explicit teaching and a commitment to the National Quality Standards. Suitable applicants will demonstrate the ability to create an effective, engaging and inclusive learning environment based on high expectations. They will have an understanding of appropriate assessments, and be able to use data to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching programs, set targets and plan for differentiated learning opportunities for all students in their class.
The Pingrup PS motto is 'Striving Together - Reaching Higher'. We are a small rural school approximately 360km south-east of Perth where individual education, with caring and attentive one-to-one instruction, is highly valued by the Pingrup community.
All students from Kindergarten to Year 6 demonstrate cooperative learning skills and participate effectively in student focused integrated learning opportunities. The multi-aged classrooms are well catered for with a dynamic approach to planning. Peer tutoring is often evident and a very effective way for students to improve their understanding of concepts.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

Employees will be required to:
