Yanchep Beach Primary School (PS) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Visual Arts Teacher.
The successful applicant, like all YBPS staff, will work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team and have the opportunity to make a contribution to our school community. They should demonstrate an ability to teach across a range of Arts contexts. A well-established artistic background, demonstrated competency in the teaching of Visual Arts and a desire to extend students creative and expressive potential is a must.
The successful applicant will be able to provide innovative teaching and learning programs that nurture and inspire students and supports school priorities throughout the calendar year. The successful applicant will have outstanding interpersonal skills with a natural ability to communicate and relate to parents, students and staff members. The ability to integrate ICT is visual arts is desirable.
Yanchep Beach PS has invested in Visual Arts since opening in 2014 Yanchep Beach PS is focussed on meeting the needs of the 'whole child' which includes extending a students' creative and expressive potential. Visual Arts is a key complement to other specialist programs which each receive a high profile within the school community, they are integral programs within Yanchep Beach PS.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;

- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
