East Hamersley Primary School (PS) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated educator with a passion for teaching, an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum, including the Early Years and demonstrated best practice in literacy and numeracy.
The successful applicant will demonstrate a profound understanding of contemporary curriculum and pedagogy with an emphasis on explicit teaching techniques, particularly in the teaching of the InitiaLit program and Talk for Writing approach. Experience with the integration of digital technologies into the learning program and formative evaluation techniques will be highly valued, as will demonstrated expertise in curriculum differentiation. The successful applicant must also have a sound knowledge and interest in the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework and Environmental studies. We are seeking an exemplary teacher with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills which underpin professional and positive working relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community.
East Hamersley PS places successful students at the core of everything we do. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
