This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2020
Are you a superb Teacher that wants to make a positive difference?
Bolgart Primary School (PS) is seeking to appoint a dedicated Primary Teacher to join their friendly team.
The school consists of only two classrooms, both of which are multi-age group classrooms, one being Kindergarten to Year 2 and the other being year 3 to Year 6. The successful applicant will be confident to teach in both classrooms and a background in Early Childhood teaching would be advantageous. Both classrooms also have a number of students with either diagnosed or imputed learning difficulties and experience in differentiating the curriculum for children with autism would be beneficial.
Bolgart Primary School is delivering the Technologies and Digital Technologies curriculum and therefore STEM subjects are a focus for the school and our point of difference. The school is well resourced in this area, with every student having access to their own iPad, a ratio of one laptop per two students, interactive touchscreen whiteboards and a dedicated STEM maker space classroom with two 3-D printers. Therefore, the ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate how they are able to bring technology into the classroom in a meaningful way across all areas of the curriculum.
The school is on a path of continuous improvement and with a small number of staff, we are all part of the process. Therefore, the recommended applicant will not only be open to change, but also demonstrate an ability to lead change at a school wide level.
The successful applicant will be highly professional and possess outstanding interpersonal skills. They will pursue excellence in classroom teaching and provide encouragement and support to their colleagues. They will foster and encourage innovation, and make student academic achievement the core of their work. To be successful in this position you will be highly organised and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Additionally, you will have knowledge and experience of explicit teaching, the ability to work effectively as part of a team and a commitment to working with parents and the wider community.
