We are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2020 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2020 school year.
As a teacher at South Halls Head PS you will work in an environment committed to the whole school approach, have self-reflection and continuous self-improvement, and accept leadership roles and responsibilities beyond your own classroom. Suitable applicants will, ideally be student and relationship focused, highly motivated, innovative and be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills while working in a team environment.
The school has embedded pedagogical practices based on explicit teaching and feedback. The knowledge of, and experience in, implementing these practices would be highly desirable. Suitable applicants will have strong classroom management and organisation skills, and the demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students.
South Halls Head PS was developed around a village culture, working in close association with the school community to raise happy, healthy and resilient students. South Halls Head Primary School opened in 2008. It is situated in Halls Head (Mandurah) in the new development of Seascapes. It has 'state of the art' facilities with six teaching blocks (including an early childhood centre), a library, undercover area, music room and art room. Computers are used extensively in both classrooms and in dedicated computer labs.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.
