The Southwest Education Regional Office is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated educator to join their team in Bunbury.
The Home Education Moderator has responsibility for the registration and certification of home educators, the evaluation of home education programs and assessing the progress being made by home educated children. The Home Education Moderator is required to provide advice to home educators regarding improvements to the education program and assessment of progress.
The Home Education Moderator will effectively liaise with parents on appropriate educational programs. Applicants with knowledge of Western Australian Certificate of Education requirements and understanding of appropriate educational programs for home education students will be highly regarded.
Ideally, the successful applicant will be experienced, value life-long learning, and will work as part of a dedicated group who are working effectively together to enhance the performance of all students. The successful applicant will also have effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills and have well developed written communication skills including the ability to prepare correspondence and reports.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.
