Ocean Reef Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool of experienced and committed Mathematics teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2019 and 2020 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2019 and 2020 school year.
Suitable applicants will ideally have recent school experience teaching Mathematics across year 7 to year 12. The ability to teach Mathematics to Year 12 Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) level is also desirable.
Suitable applicants will have an outstanding knowledge of Mathematics, have high expectations for all students, demonstrate a commitment to excellence and be able to demonstrate success in student achievement. They will support the implementation of the school business plan, be committed to whole school approaches and initiatives and have a strong evidenced based teaching approach.
Suitable applicants will have effective interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and the ability to work collaboratively with the Maths team. Effective classroom management, the ability to differentiate curriculum to cater for individual student needs and promote an environment of active and positive learning are also a strong focus for positions.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
