About the role
Registrars of the FCWA have the specific responsibility for performing the functions and duties and exercising the powers as provided for in the Family Law Act 1975 (Cth) and the Family Court Act 1997 (WA) and Rules and Regulations and as directed by the Chief Judge and/or Principal Registrar.
We are seeking Legal Practitioners of not less than 5 years’ experience admitted or eligible to be admitted to practice in Western Australia. Extensive knowledge of family court procedures and processes is required.

All employees are required to undergo employment screening, which includes a National Criminal History Check and other checks that may be relevant to the position requirements.

Pool Recruitment
The Department of Justice uses recruitment pools to build a bank of talent for future opportunities. When part of a pool you may be offered a permanent or temporary position, however an appointment is not guaranteed.
This pool will be open for a period of 24 months from the date of first appointment. Permanent and fixed-term full-time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise.
